Abstract
Integrating 5G networks with Edge and Fog Computing is considered an approach that can be used to solve problems related to latency, effective bandwidth usage, and other issues in terms of supporting real-time applications. This paper analyzes the structure, function, and integration of Edge and Fog Computing into 5G networks by considering task distribution, resource allocation, and security. An example of a smart-city traffic management system is used as a case study for the suggested approach. It should be noted that according to the results obtained in the research, latency has been reduced from 2.5 seconds in the traditional network to 0.89 seconds in the suggested system; in addition, the security measure has been improved from 60 to 81.
